Based in Omaha, Nebrasksa, General Siding Supply operates five locations.
Building products distributor Beacon has expanded again with the acquisition of General Siding Supply.
The move brings Beacon five locations including General Siding Supply’s headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska, in addition to branches in Lincoln and Grand Island along with locations in Sioux City, Iowa and West Fargo, North Dakota.
The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
For nearly 50 years, General Siding has provided building supplies including siding, windows, and doors to Midwest contractors.
This deal is Beacon’s third acquisition of the year, adding 12 branches along with a signed purchase agreement for a fourth acquisition.
The latter agreement with Denver, Colorado-based Smalley & Company would add 11 locations to Beacon's waterproofing roster.
Additonally, Beacon has opened five new greenfield branches in 2024.
“Beacon is a great place to work, and our employees are excited to join the team,” said Jeff Spanheimer, General Siding Supply president. “Our customers will benefit from combining our product catalog and expertise. They will also gain access to Beacon PRO+ for online ordering and delivery tracking."
