Beacon has completed two acquisitions in 2024.
Beacon announced that it has opened new locations in Dieppe, New Brunswick, Canada and Spring Lake Park, Minnesota to serve residential and commercial roofing contractors.
The new branch in Dieppe, New Brunswick will serve the Atlantic Canada region, Beacon said.
“We are pleased to add service in our seventh Canadian province,” commented Charles Michaud, Beacon’s Regional Vice President, Canada. “Construction is on an upswing in this market due to population growth and our branch is well positioned to provide a strong catalog of both residential and commercial roofing products. Contractors will appreciate our team’s knowledge and service commitment to help them grow their businesses.”
Canada has been a hotbed of recent moves by U.S. building material distributors.
On April 3, ABC Supply reported that it had entered the greater Ontario market through the acquisition of Herman’s Supply Company. The company operates to 11 branches across Ontario and a 12th location in West Seneca, New York, which serves the Buffalo market.
A week prior, ABC Supply announced its acquisition of the assets of All Canadian Building Products in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. With a focus on roofing and complementary materials, ABC Supply operates over 970 locations in North America.
Beacon’s new Spring Lake Park, Minnesota branch adds residential and commercial roofing and complementary products and services in the north Minneapolis metro market.
