Beacon expands in North Carolina and Texas
Beacon has opened new branches in Conroe, Texas and Goldsboro, North Carolina.
According to a press release issued today by the roofing and building products distributor, both locations opened in late December 2023.
The new branches will serve residential and commercial roofing contractors and lumberyards.
Taking into account these two new locations, Beacon had a total of 49 additional branches in 2023. This includes 28 new greenfield openings and 21 branches brought on board through 9 acquisitions.
The new Conroe branch is situated in the Houston metro market where Beacon continues to increase its presence.
“The population continues to grow north of the city, and we have the residential and commercial roofing products and services to support contractors as they grow their businesses,” said Peter Lippert, Beacon’s regional vice president, Texas. “We have nine locations around the Houston metroplex, and they operate in lockstep via the Beacon OTC Network to provide the highest level of customer service.”
In Goldsboro, North Carolina, the branch is designed to serve lumberyard customers, Beacon said.
“Our product range, delivery fleet and specialized employees will be highly appreciated by lumberyards in the Carolinas region,” said Clint Wade, Beacon’s national vice president focused on serving lumberyards. “Our entire team is dedicated to helping our customers build more together.”
Based in Herndon, Virginia, Beacon operates over 500 branches throughout all 50 states and 6 provinces in Canada. The company says it serves an extensive base of nearly 100,000 customers.
Last week, Beacon appointed Carmelo Carrubba as interim CFO.
Beacon has also provided updated financial projections for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2023. Sales are expected to be approximately $3.2 billion along with a net income in the range of $92 to $96 million.
