McCoy’s Building Supply said it recently finalized the purchase of 8.7 acres of land in New Caney, Texas.
The land is located at the northwest corner of Highway 242 and Big Rivers Road, which is expected to be a solid location for an upcoming store from the prodelaer.
“With the incredible growth in East Montgomery County, McCoy’s was making several deliveries a day into the area,” said Phil Hutchinson, McCoy’s real estate manager. “Our new location will be the most convenient destination for home improvement products for thousands of customers in the New Caney area.”
The future New Caney store’s interior retail area will be arranged according to McCoy’s distinctive easy-in, easy-out design offering tools, paint, and household essentials, among other products.
McCoy’s Building Supply stores carry quality building materials for a wide range of projects and home maintenance supplies, available in-store and online with ship-to-store, and delivery options.
The new location will also include a large, covered, drive-thru lumberyard and a fleet of forklifts and delivery trucks.
The company celebrated the grand opening of its 86th store located in Lubbock, Texas in November 2023 and is currently constructing a store in Lockhart, Texas that will open in Spring 2024.
An official timeline for groundbreaking and store construction in New Caney has not been announced.
The financial terms of the real estate purchase were not disclosed.
Based in San Marcos, Texas, McCoy’s operates 86 stores, 3 distribution centers, and two millwork facilities in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico.
The company serves builders, contractors, ranchers, and serious do-it-yourselfers. McCoy’s employs more than 3,000 people.
