McCoy's new Lubbock, Texas store opened on Nov. 20.

McCoy’s Building Supply has opened its latest location in Lubbock, Texas.

The Texas prodealer and farm and ranch retailer previously had a store in Lubbock from 1971 through 1995 and said it is "excited to have returned to the area."

The Lubbock store is managed by Joseph Martinez who joined McCoy’s 11 years ago.

Most recently, Martinez was the store manager of McCoy’s Odessa store.

“We are so ready to serve the awesome Lubbock community,” said Martinez. “Our customers can expect top-notch service from a friendly team able to help them with any project, big or small.”

McCoy's first announced it would open a new Lubbock store this past April.

Instead of a typical ribbon-cutting, it's a McCoy's Building Supply tradition to open a new store with a board-cutting ceremony.

The Lubbock board cutting is scheduled for Dec. 6 at 11:30 am. Grand Opening week festivities will run from Dec. 4 through 9 at the store with daily giveaways to celebrate McCoy’s newest location.

Based in San Marcos, Texas, McCoy's Building Supply operates over 80 stores, 3 distribution centers, and 2 millwork facilities in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. The company has more than 3,000 employees.
