The latest move from L&W Supply is the opening of its first branch in New York City.
Today, the Chicago-based building products distributor announced that it has opened its latest branch in Long Island City, N.Y.
Located in the extreme western tip of the borough of Queens, Dave Dickerson is managing the new location.
The manager has more than three decades of experience in the building supply industry. Dickerson started his career in 1986 and has held various operations and sales positions throughout New Jersey and New York.
“We are so excited to have our first L&W Supply location in the New York City market, which will allow us to meet the growing demand for building materials and support in the area,” said John McLaughlin, L&W Supply’s Northeast Region vice president.
The company’s Mid-Atlantic District Manager Butch Kahlau added, “Dave’s deep wealth of industry knowledge combined with his strong customer relationships and knowledge of the market will position us to provide world-class support to our team and customers in the area.”
L&W Supply distributes wallboard, suspended ceiling systems, steel studs, joint treatment, insulation, fasteners and related building products. The company operates more than 200 locations in 40 states.
Last month, L&W Supply acquired Dana Wallboard Supply in Tyngsborough, Mass. The company serves the greater Boston market.
L&W Supply is a subsidiary of ABC Supply with more than 800 locations in the United States and Canada.
Another ABC Supply subsidiary, aluminum and building products distributor Town & Country, just announced that it has acquired T&C Sales, Inc., located in Rockledge, Fla.
