Each year, HBSDealer editors face the tough task of sifting through dozens of nominations for the annual Hardware All Stars feature (sponsored by Epicor).

The only thing that's hard about selecting 50 All Stars each year is deciding amongst all the exceptional stores that are operating in the U.S.

Selecting 50 All Stars never gets any easier, and in 2015, HBSDealer editors were faced with an embarrassment of riches when it came to qualified candidates.

After the nominations were in, it was a matter of finding the retailer with a little extra -- be it exceptional service, an unusual market niche, or perhaps just a really great story.

What qualifies as All-Star status?

Now in its fifth year, the 2015 Hardware + Building Supply Dealer All-Star project is designed to recognize retail excellence.

After a months-in-the-making review of nominations from vendors, distributors and manufacturers, HBSDealer published a list of 50 All Stars from 50 states. The 2015 All-Star project is sponsored by Epicor.
