  • MAX USA hires East Midwest sales exec

    MAX USA, a Mineola, New York-based pneumatic nailing tool supplier, has hired John Parsons as its East Midwest regional sales executive.

  • Toter gets its first VP retail

    Charlotte, North Carolina-based Wastequip has hired Andrew Bardsley to the newly created role of VP retail for the Toter brand, in which he will be charged with leading the team's new Retail Business Unit.

    With Bardsley in place, Toter's consumer business is poised to work toward its new long-term growth initiatives, including a move that will involve shifting all of its manufacturing operations to the U.S. Bardsley will be at the helm of Toter's "Made in America" initiative.

  • Wood Council taps Emmerson

    The American Wood Council announced the election of Sierra Pacific President George Emmerson as the new AWC chairman for a one-year term.
  • Leadership transition at Klein Tools

    Mathias Klein III will retire as chairman of the board of Lincolnshire, Illinois-based Klein Tools  in June, 2015 but will continue to serve on the company’s board of directors.  

  • The Canadian Standards Association names a chairman

    Dr. BJ Yeh has been named chairman of the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) 1369 Technical Committee on Wood-Based Panels.

    The Committee puts out four national consensus standards on plywood and oriented strand board in Canada: CSA O121 Candian Douglas Fir Plywood, CSA O151 Canadian Softwood Plywood, CSA O153 Poplar Plywood and CSA O325 Construction Sheathing.

    Yeh is also director of technical services for APA-The Engineered Wood Association, which sponsors CSA standards on wood structural panels and structural glued laminated timber.

  • Tripp Smith named VP sales at EarthTronics

    Muskegon, Michigan-based energy-efficient lighting company EarthTronics has named Tripp Smith to the post of VP sales. Smith brings over 30 years of lighting experience to bear on his new role, in which he will be charged with increasing sales opportunities and profit, as well as expanding market share in North America.

    Over 22 years of his career were spent at GE Lighting, where he performed in various sales and leadership capacities in the company's retail and commercial lighting businesses.

  • Henry Company names CEO

    El Segundo, California-based Henry Company, makers of building envelope systems, named former Armstrong chief Frank Ready as CEO.

    Prior to joining Henry Company, Ready was Executive Vice President of Armstrong Worldwide and CEO of Armstrong Floor Products Worldwide. He was with Armstrong for 30 years and served successfully in a variety of senior leadership roles in the organization throughout his career. 

  • NACCO Materials Handling names new execs

    NACCO Materials Handling Group (NMHG) the parent company of Hyster Company and Yale Materials Handling Corporation added Mike McCormick as VP warehouse solutions and Bill Buckhout as director of leasing and remarketing. McCormick and Buckhout have more than 40 years of combined industry experience.
