LBM Advantage hires new Southwest sales manager

LBM Advantage, the lumber and building materials cooperative, has hired Bryan Baker as member sales manager for the Southwest region. 

Baker has dedicated his entire career to the lumber and building industry, having held positions in the accounting and sales divisions at Louisiana-Pacific and the sales division at James Hardie. During the past two decades, he has also managed one of the largest lumberyards in Texas for Bison Building Materials and was general manager at HT Building Products. 

Baker will be responsible for serving LBM Advantage’s current membership as well as seeking out new members for the cooperative in the states of Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Kansas. 

The region is currently being overseen by Barry Brooks who will transition to LBM Advantage’s Zone 5 which includes the states of Louisiana,  Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, and Tennessee. 

“I learned the value of a co-op very early on in my career,” Baker said. “Working at LBM Advantage is a great way to remain in an  industry I enjoy while serving independent dealers whose businesses I value.”

LBM Advantage Vice President of Southwest Operations, Joe Burlison, added, “We are excited to have Bryan Baker on our LBM Advantage team. His background running one of the largest lumberyards in Texas, as well as his experience with major manufacturers gives him unique insight into the supply chain that will bring incredible value to our membership.” 

LBM Advantage is a member-owned forest products and building materials cooperative comprised of premier independent LBM retailers. The co-op operates four locations in New Windsor, N.Y.; Grand Rapids, Mich.; Smithfield, N.C.; and Conroe, Texas, offering national programs with regional expertise.
