PWT has promoted J.D. Dombek to Western regional business development manager.
Since joining the company in 2012, he has been integral to the team’s success in achieving key sales and growth targets, PWT said.
This promotion will see Dombek transition from managing regional sales responsibilities as director, business development manager – West and industrial sales manager to expanding PWT’s dealer base in all areas of the Western region.
To accomplish this, PWT said that Dombek will recruit and manage a business development team to work closely with key regional distribution partners and increase the brand’s visibility to dealers and builders across the Western part of the country.
“J.D. will play a crucial role in exposing every major retailer, builder, and designer to the PWT brand. His proven track record, paired with his disciplined work ethic and dedication to the company, make him the ideal choice to continue expanding our boundaries out west,” said Matt Caissie, PWT vice president of distributor management and sales. “He embodies PWT’s commitment to being a good partner to everyone in our business ecosystem, from providing builders with innovative product solutions like Treated LVL to end-to-end customer support for our distributors. J.D. will be a huge part of furthering our partnerships across the board.”
Dombek began his 26-year career in the wood industry after earning his master’s in engineering at the University of Connecticut. His introduction to engineered wood came while working for a general contractor, after which he moved into engineered wood products (EWP) sales at Western Wood Structures. There, he gained the knowledge to step out as an entrepreneur to found Engineered Wood Solutions, a commercial EWP distribution company, before joining PWT.
The promotion comes on the heels of PWT’s announcement that Steve Killgore has ascended as special advisor to the board.
