Recent activity includes the opening of a Home Depot store on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. 

Also, a pair of acquisitions by Builders FirstSource: Douglas Lumber, Kitchens and Home Center in Smithfield, Rhode Island; and High Mountain Door and Trim in Reno, Nevada. Douglas Lumber has been providing quality building materials and service to contractors, remodelers and homeowners throughout Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut for over 40 years. High Mountain is a distributor and installer of doors, windows and millwork to single-family and multi-family markets in the Reno area.

Meanwhile, McCoy's Building Supply is closing its Kingsville, Texas, location.

Other recent activity includes:

Carter Lumber’s opening in Columbia, South Carolina;
Aubuchon's acquisition of four Ace Hardware stores in Pennsylvania; and
PARR Lumber’s acquisition of Rochester True Value Hardware & Lumber.
