Builders FirstSource continues acquisition streak

Builders FirstSource acquired Kleet Lumber, based in Huntington, New York.

In a statement announcing the acquisition, Builders FirstSource described Kleet Lumber as a company that has earned a strong reputation as a trusted provider of lumber and building materials, including doors, windows, roofing, hardware, mouldings and custom millwork."

Builders FirstSource added: "This acquisition bolsters our market presence in the Northeast and enhances our ability to serve builders, contractors and homeowners in the region."

Terms of the deal were not revealed.

Kleet Lumber was founded in 1946 by Maxwell Kleet and the business continued under his son and grandsons.

The move follows a flurry of acquisitions for the nation's largest prodealer. Third-quarter acquisitions include High Mountain Door & Trim, Reno Truss, Sunrise Wood Designs, Wyoming Millwork, Western Truss and Components and CRi (an installer of high-end windows and doors.)
