Leviton has been no stranger to BitWise Controls, a leader in design and manufacture of control and monitoring solutions for residential and commercial facilities. And now, after years of carrying BitWise automation controllers, Leviton bought the company.

While most people think of water, food and shelter when it comes to emergency relief efforts, Leviton provided areas of Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee with another essential product in the aftermath of recent storms and tornados: watertight locking plugs and connectors, 50 amp generator plus, and a wide assortment of other temporary power supplies.

Leviton has added to its Decora product line with the introduction of Decora Rocker Slide Controls, which include a new line of Universal Dimmers and a Quiet Fan Speed Control.

Melville, N.Y.-based Leviton Manufacturing has acquired Obvius, a provider of solutions to collect energy information.

According to Leviton, the Obvius acquisition allows the company to offer the most complete line of lighting and energy management solutions. A complementary strategic addition to Leviton’s current line, Leviton now offers solutions to meet all measurement and verification-based opportunities, such as smart metering, energy data information, load management and LEED rating achievement.

Looking into the future of the American automobile, Melville, New York-based Leviton launched the next generation of electric vehicle charging station pedestals for workplace environments.

Melville, N.Y.-based Leviton Tuesday announced the acquisition of JCC Advanced Lighting, a United Kingdom-based leader in LED lighting suitable for a wide variety of residential and commercial applications. 

The acquisition establishes Leviton in the U.K. market and affords the company growth opportunities internationally, according to the company.
