Wilson Lumber names next president

An experienced veteran succeeds John Marshall who will retire in the fourth quarter.

Wilson Lumber Company announced that it has chosen its next president.

Josh Hendrickson, currently the company’s vice president of sales and marketing, will succeed current president and chief operating officer John Marshall in the fourth quarter.

According to Wilson Lumber, Hendrickson brings more than 18 years of industry experience to his upcoming, new position.

Wilson Lumber CEO Robb Wilson said Hendrickson is the perfect fit to lead Wilson Lumber into the next phase of growth and success.

“Part of our mission statement is that we want to ‘inspire people to grow,” Wilson said. “Josh started here in sales and was successful, started our commercial truss sales division and was successful, moved to sales management, and eventually to VP of Sales. I know he will be successful now as president of the company.”

Hendrickson began his career at Wilson Lumber began in 2011. The Huntsville, Alabama-based prodealer said the LBM executive helped increase sales by 130%, implemented a refined sales structure across multiple business channels, and spearheaded the creation of its Construction Services division, managing over 2,500 installed projects annually across multiple states.

Additionally, Wilson Lumber noted that Hendrickson helped expand the company’s footprint to 16 states through “vertical integration and streamlined processes.” He also serves on the boards of the Structural Building Component Association (SBCA) and C12.

Wilson Lumber was founded by Clyde Wilson in 1949.
