Davis Lumber & Hardware, Davis Truss names new president

The new president will focus on strengthening the company’s commitment to customers and employees.

Davis Lumber & Hardware (DL&H) and Davis Truss announced that Cory Venable has been promoted to company president. 

Having served the Red River Lumber family of companies for nine years in various leadership roles, Venable is positioned to lead DL&H and Davis Truss into a promising new era, the Texarkana, Arkansas-based company said.

Venable played college baseball at Henderson State University where he graduated with a master’s degree in finance. 

He also attended the LMC Executive Development Program at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and has been actively involved with LMC’s 21st Century Leaders program. 

As president, Venable will focus on efforts to continue strengthening and enhancing each company’s commitment to its customers and employees.

Davis Lumber & Hardware is a full-line lumber and building materials supplier and operates two locations in Arkansas.

Founded in 1948, Davis Lumber & Hardware is a full-line lumber and building materials supplier and operates two locations in Arkansas. Davis Truss was founded in 1960 and manufactures wood roof and floor trusses for builders and lumberyards across multiple states.

DL&H and Davis Truss are part of the Red River Lumber portfolio of companies.

In recent weeks, Red River Lumber has made several leadership moves including naming John Butler as the new company president and new store managers.
