Red River Lumber names new president

The LBM executive joined the Texas prodealer in 2005 and has held several leadership positions.

Red River Lumber, the Texarkana, Texas-based prodealer, has named John Butler as the new president of the company.

In a press release issued by Red River Lumber, the company said that Butler has an extensive background in the industry and, “brings valuable experience and a visionary outlook to lead Red River Lumber and its divisions into an exciting new chapter.”

Founded in 1992, Red River Lumber operates three full-line lumberyards in Northeast Texas and Southeast Oklahoma as well as a Design Center and Overhead Door distributorship. 

Butler’s career with Red River Lumber began in 2005 and prior to his promotion, he previously held management roles in sales and operations, as well as serving as general manager. 

The new president recently participated in LMC’s Sales Masterclass at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.

As Red River President, Butler will be responsible for driving continued growth, fostering innovation, and reinforcing the company’s commitment to delivering an exceptional experience for the dealer’s customers. 

The promotion marks a significant milestone in the company’s evolution, Red River Lumber noted.
