TAL Holdings grows in Montana

The dealer has acquired Ennis Lumber Company and Beaverhead Home Center.

Ennis Lumber in Ennis, Montana has been acquired by TAL Holdings.

Rapidly growing Pacific Northwest dealer TAL Holdings has expanded again with the acquisition of Ennis Lumber Company and Beaverhead Home Center.

Ennis and Beverhead are a two-store chain in western Montana.

With this acquisition, TAL’s footprint expands to a total of 32 locations across Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington.

Greg and Robin Winden founded Beaverhead Home Center in Dillon, Montana in 1995. 

Ennis Lumber Company, formerly known as Madison Lumber and located in Ennis, Montana, combined its operations with Beaverhead Home Center in 2012.

TAL Holdings said it will officially welcome both Ennis Lumber Company and Beaverhead Home Center into its growing family in June 2023. Both locations will continue to operate under their respective names.

The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

“This addition will strengthen our presence in the Western Montana region and bring with it a wonderful group of employees,” Blair added.

Last month, TAL Holdings acquired Friday Harbor, Washington-based Harbor Rental and Saw Shop.

Based in Vancouver, Washington, TAL Holdings’ family of brands includes Badger Building Center, Bayview Building Supply of Elma, Best Built Builders Supply, Browne’s Home Center, Gerretsen Building Supply, Harbor Rental and Saw Shop, Lake Chelan Building Supply, Marson and Marson Lumber, Midway Building Supply, Miller’s Home Center, Mount Vernon Building Center, and Tum-A-Lum Lumber.
