Ed Wright, president of Sun Mountain, will remain with the company along with his team. The company has 130 employees.
Wright joined Sun Mountain as chief financial officer in 2006 and was promoted to general manager in 2013. Sun Mountain and its senior management team achieved revenue growth in 9 of the next 10 years.
Growth was achieved through expansion of the company’s direct distribution model, nationwide marketing, capacity expansion, and development of the company’s organization in all functional areas, Sun Mountain said.
Sun Mountain Custom Doors manufactures its products at its Berthoud facility and showcases them in eight design centers in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, North Carolina, New Mexico, and Utah.
“We feel like the U.S. map is wide open to us, as is the appetite to buy American-made,” Wright said. “Our direct ship model and high-quality pre-finished product works for us, and builders, architects, interior designers, and homeowners who love our products.”
Porter Wiley with FMI Capital Advisors, Inc. was the exclusive advisor to Sun Mountain.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
