Roofing and building products distributor SRS Distribution announced that it is acquiring Aloha Roofing Supply.

Based in Kapaa, Hawaii, Aloha is a distributor of residential roofing, lumber, foundation and masonry materials, and additional building products. The transaction is expected to close on Sept. 10. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Aloha was founded in 2014 by Randy Boyer and currently employs a team of 25 people. Boyer will continue to lead the company’s team under the Aloha banner, ensuring continuity and consistency for customers, suppliers, and employees, SRS said.

“We have known Randy for many years and have an immense amount of respect for him,” said Dan Tinker, president and CEO of SRS Distribution “The reputation he has earned through several decades of operating multiple businesses on the islands is truly unparalleled, as evidenced by the fact that he and his team have established the premier distribution platform in Kauai in a very short amount of time.

Looking forward, Tinker said that Bower will have oversight over operations in Hawaii and will lead future expansion throughout the islands.

SRS Distribution also operates RoofLine Supply & Delivery in Kapolei, Hawaii.

“Since starting our first business in Hawaii in 1981, my father and I have always endeavored to provide exceptional service while helping to grow our island community,” Boyer said. “We are confident that with the backing of SRS, we will continue to cultivate a culture of always putting our customers and people first.”

This acquisition announcement arrives just days after SRS Distribution reported that it had made its 100th acquisition with the purchase of WeatherPanel in Buffalo, N.Y.

Based in McKinney, Texas, SRS Distribution operates more than 470 locations across 44 states.
