Spahn & Rose Lumber Co., the Dubuque, Iowa-based prodealer has added a new vice president of human resources along with a new director of purchasing.
Lori Hoffmann fills the newly created position of Vice President of Human Resources, and Ivy Su Johanson has joined Spahn & Rose as the new Director of Purchasing, stepping into the role due to a retirement, the company said.
Hoffmann is an accomplished human resources leader with experience in human resources consulting, employee relations, employee engagement and staff retention.
“Lori is an excellent addition to Sahn & Rose,” said Spahn & Rose CEO Dave Davis. “Lori’s expertise in cultivating positive work environments will be a great addition to our company’s growing needs.”
Hoffmann brings more than 20 years of human resources leadership to Spahn & Rose. She previously served as the Executive Director of Human Resources for Buchanan County Health Center. In addition to her time in healthcare, Hoffmann spent time in higher education, utilities, and a family-owned food distributor.
“I’m excited to join an organization rooted in excellence and commitment to their customers, communities, and employees,” Hoffman said. “Spahn and Rose has exemplary values and a genuine commitment to foster a culture conducive to supporting its employees. It’s my honor to join Spahn and Rose in their pursuit to build on their history and commit my focus on contributing to their growth.”
