The National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA) announced that Bob Sanford has been nominated to serve as at large director and voting member of its board of directors.
Sanford is a past chairman of the NLBMDA and the president of Sanford & Hawley, the Connecticut-based prodealer.
The NLBMDA said the move is in accordance with its bylaws, a task group consisting of the NLBMDA President & CEO; the NLBMDA Chair; the LuDPAC Board of Trustees Chair; the Legislative Advocacy Committee Chair; and the Regulatory, Codes, & Standards Committee Chair.
NLBMDA lumber dealer members are invited to vote on Sanford's nomination to serve as at large director by clicking here. The deadline to submit your vote is Friday, Jan. 19.
Sanford has spent much of his life and his entire career in the lumber and building material industry. He started with his family’s lumberyard, Sanford and Hawley, Inc., in Unionville, Connecticut, riding in trucks while in grammar school and continued working summers and school vacations.
