The Window and Door Manufacturers Association's (2015) recently released Window and Entry Door 2014 U.S. Market Study shows continued growth for the residential window market through 2015. 

The study, prepared, researched and analyzed by Metrostudy and the Virginia Center for Housing Research at Virginia Tech, forecasts overall residential window market growth of 9.1% for 2014 and 8.3% for 2015. This follows market growth of 10% in 2013.  

One of the top stories this week was the introduction of Robert Marchbank as CEO of Denver-based ProBuild Holdings. Marchbank is s former executive with Wolseley, where he led European businesses, among other positions.

It’s not the typical experience, but some permits are approved the same day they are submitted, according to the survey results.

Data released Tuesday by the U.S. Census Bureau tell the story of two regions generating the lion's share of new residential construction in November: the Northeast and West.

Household formations will boost residential construction in 2016, with a twist.
