L&W Supply names new Sacramento manager

L&W Supply announced that Michael Simmons has been appointed as the branch manager of the building product distributor’s  Sacramento, Calif.

Simmons is an industry veteran who joined L&W Supply as part of an acquisition in 2021.

“Michael’s deep understanding of construction, operations, and customer service has created strong partnerships with customers and vendors,” said Dave Hovekamp, manager of L&W Supply’s Northern California District. “He and his team will continue to support Sacramento-area contractors, ensuring they have the tools and materials they need for each project.”

As branch manager, Simmons will be responsible for managing daily branch operations, cultivating customer relationships, guiding associates, and executing branch growth and profitability, the company said.

Based in Chicago L&W Supply operates over 220 branches in 40 states. The company is one of the nation’s largest distributors of wallboard, suspended ceiling systems, steel studs, joint treatment, insulation, fasteners, and related building products.

L&W Supply is a subsidiary of ABC Supply Co. with nearly 900 locations nationwide and in Canada.
