L&W Supply names new Northeast regional manager
L&W Supply has named Bill Withers as business development manager of its Northeast Region.
Withers joined L&W Supply in 2019, as branch manager for the Springfield, Virginia greenfield location.
“Bill’s experience in the industry and dedication make him a perfect candidate for this position," said John McLaughlin, vice president of L&W Supply’s Northeast Region. "Under his leadership, we are confident that our business will continue to grow and thrive and that we will further expand our reach and capabilities to better serve our customers.”
As business development manager, Withers will be responsible for managing customer relationships, identifying new product and customer opportunities, and driving regional growth.
Illinois acquisition
L&W Supply also announced that it has acquired the assets of Oswego Building Supplies, a distributor of residential and commercial gypsum, metal studs, and related accessories based in Oswego, Illinois.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
The team at Oswego will join L&W Supply, as part of this acquisition, while providing a seamless transition for existing customers.
The Oswego Building Supplies team is a great addition to the L&W Supply family and has decades of experience in our industry,” said Dan Piché, L&W Supply’s president. “This acquisition allows us to serve the rapidly growing southwest suburbs of Chicago so that we can provide even better service to builders and contractors working in that area."
Along with opening a new branch in Maryland earlier this month, in June, the company acquired Killingly Building Products with locations in Dayville and Rhode Island.
Based in Chicago, L&W Supply operates more than 250 branches in 41 states. The company distributes wallboard, suspended ceiling systems, steel studs, joint treatment, insulation, fasteners and related building products.
L&W Supply is a subsidiary of ABC Supply with over 900 locations in the United States and Canada.
