Building materials distributor L&W Supply, a subsidiary of ABC Supply, has completed the acquisition of Killingly Building Products with locations in Dayville, Connecticut, and Providence, Rhode Island.

This is L&W Supply’s first acquisition in Rhode Island. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The team at Killingly Building Products will join the L&W Supply team as part of the acquisition.

“We are thrilled to welcome Killingly Building Products to the L&W Supply family and add our first location in Rhode Island,” said Dan Piché, L&W Supply’s president. “This acquisition will allow us to be an even stronger partner to customers in New England.”

According to its Facebook page, Killingly distributes steel studs, drywall, acoustical ceilings, and insulation, among other materials, tools, and accessories. Killingly’s homepage appears to have been taken down since being acquired.

In April, L&W Supply acquired Old Fort Supply a distributor serving residential, commercial, and multifamily construction in the northern Indiana and southwest Michigan markets.

L&W Supply has been active on the acquisition front in 2023.

During the same month, L&W Supply was part of a deal that saw ABC Supply acquire several businesses from US LBM.

Based in Chicago, L&W Supply is one of the nation’s largest distributors wallboard, suspended ceiling systems, steel studs, joint treatment, insulation, fasteners, and related building products. The company operates more than 250 branches in 41 states.

L&W Supply’s parent company, ABC Supply, is the largest wholesale distributor of roofing and select exterior and interior building products in North America, with over 900 locations across the U.S. and Canada.
