A big boost in siding revenues helped propel total sales figures during the fourth quarter.

Haier has named Rian Cain senior VP of sales and marketing for Home Appliances and Home Comfort. Mr. Cain comes to Haier with over 30 years of experience in the appliances industry, including 22 years with Maytag Corp.

He will report to Ma Chunyu, COO of Haier America, and will lead all product marketing, sales and branding initiatives for Home Comfort and Home Appliance products. 

Carter Lumber, the 144-unit pro dealer based in Kent, Ohio, is bringing the employees and operations of its Medina, Ohio, location into its Carter-Jones Lumber location in Akron,

The company says the Medina facility is closing and consolidating in Akron because it outgrew the confines of its 4-acre location. The Akron facility measures 17 acres, and it will be rebranded as Carter Lumber. 

Owens Corning has been placed on the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World) for the fourth consecutive year, named this year as the Industry Leader for the DJSI World Building Products component.

"This is a milestone year on many levels for Owens Corning, including the celebration of today's news and the year-long celebration of our company's 75th anniversary," said chairman and CEO Mike Thaman. Rexburg, Idaho-based Monkey Bar Storage is expanding its product lineup to include Swisstrax flooring for its North American customers.

The selection process was extensive for Tyler Patterson, Monkey Bars flooring specialist. “Quickly, I found that Swisstrax provides the best quality, products and durability,” said Patterson.
