  • Beazer Homes nabs 15 Energy Star awards

    Beazer Homes USA has been recognized by the EPA as a leader in energy performance. The home builder announced Monday that it received 15 2013 Energy Star Leadership in Housing Awards.

    "I am very proud of the quality, energy-efficient homes we build in our communities across the country," said Beazer Homes CEO Allan Merrill. "100% of the homes we construct are Energy Star Certified, which demonstrates our commitment to providing each of our home buyers with one of the most energy-efficient homes on the market."

  • Mississippi endorses a more inclusive approach to forest certification approach

    Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant signed legislation Wednesday specifying that rating systems used in green building projects funded by the state government "shall not exclude certificate credits for forest products certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative, Forest Stewardship Council or the American Tree Farm System."
