Gillman Home Centers opens new store
Gillman Do it Best Home Centers held a grand opening in Shelbyville, Indiana, with a weekend-long celebration filled with special events, prize giveaways and special savings opportunities for customers.
“We’re thrilled to share our trusted products and expert know-how with the vibrant community of Shelbyville, Indiana,” said Curtis Gillman, COO. “The warm welcome we’ve received reaffirms our commitment to serving and supporting the diverse needs of our customers.”
The company said the ground-up home center, its 16th location across central Indiana and southwestern Ohio, features 17,500 square feet of retail space and an expansive lumberyard.
“The store features an extensive selection of building materials, hand and power tools including brands like Milwaukee and STIHL, a grilling department featuring brands like Blackstone, Traeger and Weber, Best Look paints, as well as a wide selection of rental equipment,” said the firm.
Local radio station Q95 host Chick McGee, veteran of the Bob & Tom Show, broadcasted live from the store, bringing live entertainment and special guest interviews to the event.
Also, the Shelbyville Fire Department distributed kids’ fire helmets, and attendees enjoyed a cookout benefiting The Arc of Shelby County, while children painted pumpkins and explored a bounce house.
