Floor & Decor, one of the industry’s fastest-growing retailers, is continuing to open new locations on both coasts.

On July 27, the specialty hard-surface flooring retailer plans to open its latest location in Commack, N.Y. on Long Island.

The 95,000 square-foot Floor & Decor warehouse store and design center will open with a team of about 50 full-time and part-time associates led by Kirk Zinner, the new store’s chief executive merchant.

“We are excited to introduce both professional customers, as well as homeowners, to our one-stop solution for their flooring needs with an extensive selection of in-stock, trend-right flooring options,” Zinner said. “We offer unmatched service and quality flooring at unbeatable prices. With our free design services, we look forward to helping every customer turn their vision into reality.”

Floor & Decor now operates two stores in New York, both on Long Island. The Atlanta-based retailer also maintains seven locations in neighboring Connecticut and New Jersey.

On June 30, the specialty hard-surface flooring retailer also opened an 80,000-square-foot warehouse store and design center in Bakersfield, Calif. This location has a team of about 50 full-time and part-time associates led by Trevor Buskirk, chief executive merchant of the store.

Floor & Decor operates 23 stores in the Golden State. Roughly two months ago, the retailer opened a store in Fresno, Calif.

“We are eager to introduce both professional customers, as well as homeowners, to our one-stop solution for their flooring needs with an extensive selection of in-stock, trend-right flooring options,” Buskirk said.
