    The award is presented to members and vendors for their outstanding commitment and leadership provided to the group.

    Also during the conference, Reliable Distributors introduced new marketing programs, including a Made in USA-focused effort. 

    The conference theme, in fact, was "Living in America."

    Reliable is based in Libertyville, Ill. 

  • Emery CEO embraces change

    Emery-Waterhouse CEO Steve Frawley anticipates changes now that Ace Hardware has acquired the 170-year-old regional wholesale distributor. Some will be subtle, some substantial, and some as yet unknown. 

    The deal, terms of which were not revealed, also marks the beginning of a separation between Portland, Maine-based Emery and Distribution America, the co-operative of nine regional distributors that pool together as a buying group. 

  • Ace Hardware kicks off J.D. Power Award tour

    In celebration of seven straight years winning "Highest in Customer Satisfaction with Home Improvement Retail Stores" in the J.D. Power Home Improvement Retailer Satisfaction Study, Ace Hardware is kicking off its first-ever J.D. Power Award Neighborhood Tour across the country.

    Ace's J.D. Power trophies will be showcased and presented for photo opportunities at stores across the country during the 17-week tour, which will make stops at more than 100 stores in 24 states.
