  • Sales up, income down at Beacon

    Peabody, Mass.-based Beacon Roofing Supply reported fourth-quarter sales of $683.5 million, up 14.3% compared with the same quarter last year. 

    In existing markets, residential roofing product sales increased 6.5%, non-residential roofing product sales increased 10.1%, and complementary product sales increased 5.0%.

  • Beacon acquires Wholesale Roofing Supply

    Beacon Roofing Supply has completed its acquisition of Dallas-based Wholesale Roofing Supply, a distributor of residential roofing materials.

    With projected sales of about $34 million in 2014, WRS maintains a nine-acre facility in the Dallas suburb of Grand Prairie, serving the Dallas and Fort Worth areas.

    WRS President Rick McLaughlin will remain onboard as leader of the unit after the transition is completed.

  • Beacon sees strong start, soft finish in Q1

    Herndon, Va.-based Beacon Roofing Supply celebrated solid top-line growth during a quarter that started fast and finished with some tough weather conditions.

    The company posted first-quarter sales of $552.1 million, up 7.5% from $513.7 million in the same quarter last year. Net income slipped to $15.0 million, down from $18.2 million in the year-ago quarter.
