Westlake Ace to open in Glendale
Westlake Ace Hardware has signed a lease agreement to open a new store in Glendale, California, a north suburb of Los Angeles.
The company said that renovations to the space will begin in late summer, with an anticipated soft opening in December 2023. It will feature approximately 12,500 square feet of retail space.
Westlake Ace currently owns and operates five other locations in Southern California, with plans already to open two additional stores in Porter Ranch and Simi Valley this year.
“We are thrilled to open a store in Glendale and show our new customers and neighbors how we live the Ace Helpful Promise every day through reliable service, helpful advice, and the products they need to get their projects done right,” said Joe Jeffries, president and CEO of Westlake Ace Hardware.
In addition to offering such services as key cutting and automotive key fob replacement, a propane tank exchange, and knife sharpening, Ace Hardware of Glendale will sell lawn and garden supplies, fasteners, tools, plumbing, and electrical supplies.
Westlake said it will offer many convenient ways to shop, such as: In-store; Online and mobile app with pickup in store or free curbside pickup; and delivery from store, with certain restrictions.
Headquartered in the Kansas City area, 118-year-old Westlake currently owns and operates more than 150 stores in 12 states:
- California: Ace Hardware of Chico, Fresno, La Crescenta, Livermore, Mountain View, Pinole, South Pasadena, Pleasant Hill, Thousand Oaks, Turlock, Van Nuys, West LA, and Woodland, as well as Guerneville Fulton Ace Hardware in Santa Rosa;
- Illinois: Buikema’s Ace Hardware;
- Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas: Westlake Ace Hardware;
- North Carolina: Westlake Ace Hardware and Outer Banks Ace Hardware; and,
- Washington: Westlake Ace Hardware and Dennis Company Ace.
The new Glendale store will also feature several specialty departments and store-within-a-store concepts, selling such brands as: Benjamin Moore and Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines paints; Stihl, Ego, and Milwaukee outdoor power equipment; Milwaukee, DeWalt, and Craftsman power tools, and more.
