United Hardware Distributing Co. announced that Chad Ruth will serve in the role of president and CEO.
Ruth will be responsible for overseeing the overall strategy and operations of the company.
The firm said he will, “continue to work closely with United Hardware’s leadership team and employees to drive growth and ensure the company continues to provide products, and exceptional service to its members.”
Ruth became interim president and CEO on February 16, after Doug Audette resigned from his position.
The company’s board of directors said they are “excited for Chad Ruth to step into this permanent role. Chad’s deep understanding of the business and many years of prior experience in the industry, along with skillful leadership and service are key factors in this decision.”
The new president and CEO said, “the future is bright for United Hardware.”
Headquartered in Maple Grove, Minnesota, United Hardware, home of the Hardware Hank brand, is a full-line wholesale hardware distributor providing, “distinctive brands, services and capabilities to help our independent dealers build successful businesses and vibrant communities.”
United Hardware services dealers from its distribution center in Milbank, South Dakota, and said it delivers an extensive product line to more than 800 stores in the Midwest.
