  • Hardware stores show sales gains

    The latest report from the U.S. Census Bureau shows retailers classified as hardware stores -- NAICS 44413 -- showed improvement in October.

    The Census Bureau's Monthly Retail Trade Report shows the unadjusted sales for hardware stores in October was $1.731 billion, up 10.8% from $1.562 billion in October 2010.

    Compared to the prior month, November sales also increased. The month to month gain was 5.4%.
