Stine Home & Yard breaks ground
Stine Home & Yard broke ground on a significant expansion at its DeRidder, Louisiana location.
The expansion, located at 1335 North Pine St., marks the third time the DeRidder store has expanded and underscores Stine’s continued commitment to serving DeRidder and its surrounding areas, the company said.
The ceremony brought together members of the Stine family, including second and third generations of founder J.W. Stine, alongside representatives from the Beauregard Chamber of Commerce and various local and state dignitaries.

A DeRidder native, Wendy Stine previously managed the local store before joining the corporate team in Sulphur, La. ”This store has my heart; this is where I grew up. It’s a great day to break ground on our third site in DeRidder, and we couldn’t be prouder."
Stine first opened in DeRidder in 1977 with just 15 employees. The store relocated to its current site in 1993, and today, it employs 80 people. The upcoming expansion is expected to be completed by Spring 2026 and will significantly increase the store’s footprint.
The new 115,920-square-foot facility will be constructed directly behind the existing store. Once complete, the current building will be repurposed into a spacious parking lot with 360 spaces.
Key features of the expansion include:
• 81,630 square feet of retail showroom space
• 41,880 square feet for an exterior garden center
• A 34,290-square-foot drive-thru lumberyard for added convenience
With the additional space, Stine will expand key departments and offer an even broader selection of leading brands, including Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Recteq, Traeger, Big Green Egg, Blackstone, Ashley Outdoor Furniture, Benjamin Moore, Valspar, Pergo, Mohawk, Stihl, DeWalt, Milwaukee, and many more.

As Louisiana’s largest family-owned building materials dealer, Stine Home & Yard operates 13 locations—12 in Louisiana and one in Natchez, Mississippi—employing more than 800 associates. The company’s Louisiana stores are located in Bossier City, Broussard, Crowley, DeRidder, Iowa, Jennings, Lake Charles, Natchitoches, Pineville, Sulphur, Eunice, and Walker.
