Placer.ai reports improving traffic flows for home improvement.
Compared to the steady flow of home center store traffic in 2021, the year 2022 returned to earth as tight budgets, price inflation and increased spending opportunities had a discouraging impact on a post-pandemic society.
But the traffic gap between the high volume 2021 and low-volume 2022 is narrowing, according to research from Placer.ai, a research firm that tracks consumer foot traffic at retail.
The company released data for six home improvement retail brands: Home Depot, Lowe’s, Menards, Sherwin-Williams, Tractor Supply and Ace Hardware.
