Poll results: A shrug for Cyber Monday

We asked for your thoughts about the digital-shopping holiday.
12/8/2023

For nearly two decades, the phrase "Cyber Monday" has been associated with big deals for online shoppers.

The shopping holiday —the first Monday after Thanksgiving (and after Black Friday)—generated about of $11.3 billion in consumer spending in 2022, according to Adobe.

This year, according to a survey of Bloomreach customers, on Cyber Monday (Nov. 27), businesses had a 16% increase in average order size year over year. Bloomreach customers also experienced a 7% increase year-over-year in site traffic on Thanksgiving day, showing that consumers didn’t wait until the shopping holidays to either buy or search for products.

But what about HBSDealer readers? It's fair to say, based on the poll results, that the event failed to fire the blood of the hardware and building supply industry.

Here are the results of our most recent weekly poll.
