    Kathy Hendricks, who had overseen ABC Supply’s information technology function for 28 years, most recently as VP and chief information officer, has been named to the newly created position of executive director of customer connectivity.

    In her new role, she will lead ABC Supply’s strategic initiative to design, develop and implement the new information technology services and solutions that will connect ABC Supply to its customers and make it easier for its customers to run their businesses.

    In response to the company's management restructuring initiative, which reduced the responsibilities of his position, COO Jeff Beck has left iRobot amid the company's 2014 planning cycle.

    The company decided to streamline leadership for operational efficiency after shifting the company's focus to three essential market segments in the beginning of 2012.

    Office Depot announced its new CEO -- and it's not Bob Nardelli.

    The office products company resulting from the merger of OfficeMax and Office Depot appointed Roland C. Smith as chairman and CEO, the company announced.

    Previously, former Home Depot CEO Bob Nardelli had received consideration for the post.

  • Farnsworth tells PDIS what to expect in remodeling

    Nashville, Tenn. -- Bradley Farnsworth, president of the eponymous research-based consulting firm (The Farnsworth Group), delivered an address to ProDealer Summit attendees Friday that outlined a progressively greener near-future outlook for remodeling.

    In his presentation, titled "Emerging Trends in Remodeling: A Consumer and Contractor Perspective," Farnsworth detailed the experiences and expectations of architects, contractors and remodelers.

  • NLBMDA chief O'Brien to speak at ProDealer Industry Summit

    Among the five speakers scheduled to present at the 2013 ProDealer Industry Summit is Michael O'Brien, CAE, who is president and CEO of the National Lumber & Building Material Dealers Assocation (NLBMDA).

    At the helm of the association, O'Brien is in charge of the day-to-day as well as various strategic initiatives. He oversees lobbying, grassroots and political action campaigns for the organization, as well as operative functions such as membership services, public relations, federation relations, industry relations and financial management.
