Northeast expansion for Floor & Decor

The home improvement retailer opens new stores in New York and Pennsylvania.

Floor & Decor operates more than 200 warehouse-format stores in 36 states.

Specialty flooring and home improvement retailer Floor & Decor has entered October with a pair of new stores in the Northeast.

The Atlanta-based company opened its ninth New York metro market store in Nanuet, New York. Lea by the store’s Chief Executive Merchant Salvatore Calamina, the location employs about 50 full-time and part-time associates.

“We’re thrilled to announce our newest store location in Nanuet,” said Calamia. “For more than two decades, Floor & Decor has had the opportunity to serve professionals and homeowners throughout the nation, and we are excited to expand our footprint yet again in New York with this new location. 

An official grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony is slated for Oct. 11, 2 p.m. with a special appearance from former New York Giants player, Jeff Feagles.

Additionally, Floor & Decor has opened its fourth store in Pennsylvania.

A grand opening celebration of the Springfield Township, Pennsylvania store is set for Oct. 5.

This store also has about 50 full-time and part-time associates led by Chief Executive Merchant Chris Jones.

Jones said Floor & Decor is “excited to expand our footprint yet again in Philadelphia with this new location. We look forward to becoming part of the community and welcoming our newest neighbors into our store and making their renovation journeys easier, inspired and more affordable.”

Both stores are hosting special PRO VIP Grand Opening events, which include area builders, contractors, architects, designers, remodelers, flooring installers, and realtors. 

“Building relationships with our local professionals is very important to us. Their success is our success,” said Jones.
