Leviton bolsters its remote control
Melville, New York-based Leviton announced the addition of three new devices to its line of Decora Digital Controls with Bluetooth technology.
The three new devices are an Electronic Low Voltage Dimmer, a 0-10V LED/Mark 7 Fluorescent Dimmer and a Quiet Fan Speed Control.
These devices provide the ability to dim and time lighting or manage a fan’s speed without the need of a hub, gateway or internet connection. Users simply pair the device with the Leviton Decora Digital Dimmer & Timer App and use on-screen menu options to control lights or fan speed with Apple or Android smartphones or tablets within a 30-foot range.
“We are pleased to offer these exciting new additions to round out the Decora Digital line of products,” said Randall Rosenbaum, product manager, Residential Lighting Controls. “Decora Digital Controls with Bluetooth technology take traditional lighting control to the next level, bringing convenience and security to the home.”
Dimmers available in the Decora Digital Dimmers with Bluetooth technology product line are equipped with circuitry that provides programmable soft fade on and fade off as well as the ability to set the maximum light level for energy savings. The Decora Digital Electronic Low Voltage Dimmer is compatible with Electronic Low Voltage, dimmable LED, dimmable CFL, Incandescent, or Halogen loads. The Decora Digital 0-10V LED/ Mark 7 Fluorescent Dimmer is designed for use with LED and Fluorescent ballasts and fixtures using 1-10V power supplies. It is dual voltage 120V/277V and requires no power pack for switching. A matching remote for both dimmers is available for 3-way/multi-control applications.
The Decora Digital Quiet Fan Speed Control with Bluetooth technology offers 1.5A of power for quiet fan speed control. The device features a Decora rocker On/Off switch and slender slide bar for low, medium, high or maximum quiet fan speed control. Users may also utilize the timer function for the convenience of programming the fan to switch on and off at designated times. The device is designed to reduce the buzzing or humming often associated with ceiling fans through the use of capacitive circuitry, making it ideal for areas where ceiling fan noise could become distracting, such as libraries, bedrooms, home offices or sunrooms.
The devices offer flexibility to program timed events at set or random times for daily activities or for a “lived-in” look while occupants are away. An astronomical clock, automatically set through the connection with a smart device, adjusts for local sunrise/sunset times as well as daylight saving time. Additionally, the devices feature a countdown sleep timer which can be set for up to 12 hours for added convenience.
