McCoy’s Building Supply announced that Joanne Corum, the company’s senior vice president and chief information officer, has been awarded the 2023 ORBIE.
Corum received the award in the category for organizations with over $1.5 billion in annual revenue. She was one of six finalists for the award.
“It’s such an honor to be selected from this impressive group,” said Corum. “I’m thrilled to be the recipient of this award, but I’m even more thrilled for our McCoy’s team to receive external recognition for their excellent work that improves our business and allows us to serve our customers better. I am blessed to work with such a talented team at McCoy’s.”
The ORBIE Awards is a technology executive recognition program that honors chief information officers who have demonstrated excellence in technology leadership. Finalists and winners are selected by an independent peer review process led by prior ORBIE recipients based upon leadership and management effectiveness, business value created by technology innovation, and engagement in industry and community endeavors.
“Our company is over 95 years old and in an industry not known for innovation,” said McCoy’s Building Supply CEO and President Meagan McCoy Jones. “Joanne’s leadership allows us to run our own fleet distribution, provide online services to professional and consumer shoppers, manage intelligent pricing strategies, and much more. Joanne is truly so deserving of this award.”
