McCoy’s SVP and CIO honored in Austin

McCoy’s Building Supply recently announced that Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer Joanne Corum has been named IT Executive of the Year in Austin, Texas.

The award is sponsored by InnoTech and the Society for Information Management (SIM) Austin Chapter. The IT Executive of the Year Awards showcase the excellent leadership behind the IT innovations created, problems solved, efficiencies gained, and resources optimized. 

“We are so proud of Joanne, and she is incredibly deserving of this award,” said Meagan McCoy Jones, president and chief operating officer of McCoy’s. “She made us an even stronger company when she joined McCoy’s, showing us how technology is a business tool that can make our lives better and improve our customer’s lives as well."

“I am honored to receive this award and am truly blessed to have worked with so many talented team members and colleagues over the years,” said Corum. “It’s the McCoy’s team members and customers that make this work fun. It is exciting to think of new ways to give our customers the best experience possible. This includes customer-focused solutions like implementing our buy online e-commerce option to detailed tracking and scheduling of deliveries.”

Corum worked for more than 10 years at IBM and Applied Materials before coming to McCoy’s in 2016.

McCoy’s Building Supply is headquartered in San Marcos, Texas. The dealer employs 2,500 people and operates 88 stores, three distribution facilities and two millwork facilities in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi and New Mexico.
