Grinder is, “ideal for users in fabrication shops allowing users to perform a wide variety of metal grinding applications,” said the company.
Tool maker Makita U.S.A., Inc., has released the 5-inch paddle switch angle grinder with AC/DC switch (9558HP).
“The new grinder further expands Makita’s current grinding portfolio,” said Rufus Richardson, senior product manager for commercial products at Makita.
This tool, said the firm, adds another option for professional users in the electrical, mechanical and plumbing trades.
“The grinder gives the user 7.5 amps, plus 10,000 rpm in a 4.5-pound grinder,” he said.
The large flush-mounted paddle switch offers greater user comfort, and a labyrinth construction seals and protects the drive gear and bearing from contamination from dust and debris.
Additional features include an all ball-bearing design and metal gear housing for durability, and thicker coil wires that are wound more closely to reduce heat and energy loss, said the firm.
“Makita goes deep and wide in the grinding category, offering users a solution to fit their needs,” said Richardson.
