MoistureShield says its new decking line is designed to be stronger and longer-spanning than any other PVC decking on the market.
MoistureShield has launched its new Stratos line of composite enhanced PVC decking.
Featuring the best of both wood composites and PVC decking, Stratos’ “groundbreaking” Next Core is meticulously designed to be stronger and longer-spanning than any other PVC decking on the market, MoistureShield said.
Stratos features a proprietary acrylic cap that defends against damage from stains, scratches and impact while also resisting fading.
Available in three exclusive colors that are inspired by the Mediterranean landscape, Stratos features a TruTexture Surface that provides an authentic wood grain finish and enriched color variegation along with MoistureShield’s CoolDeck Technology that reduces heat up to 35%.
Engineered with a 50% greater span, Stratos provides rigidity and more solid feel underfoot compared to conventional PVC and composite decking when installed 24” on center.
“Stratos enables installers to set themselves apart by offering a new level of design, installation detail and speed on their jobs,” said Matthew Bruce, vice president of sales, MoistureShield. “With lower expansion at higher temperatures than standard PVC decking, installers can finish with tighter details across wider spans than ever before possible.”
MoistureShield plans to offer Stratos in New England and Michigan beginning mid-March before rolling the product out to a national audience in the summer.
“We couldn’t be prouder to launch this revolutionary decking product,” said Ken O’Neill, President, Barrette Outdoor Living. “MoistureShield has long been committed to staying ahead of new trends and Stratos is yet another example of our ability to manufacture a product that is poised to change the industry.”
Based in Atlanta, Georgia, MoistureShield is the signature composite decking brand of Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company.
