LMC supports Love a Canine Rescue
The LMC Cares Team said it recently united to extend its support to Love a Canine Rescue, Inc. (TLC), a local non-profit organization dedicated to providing a safe haven for all breeds of animals in Chester County, Pennsylvania.
A sum of over $7,500 in donations from LMC and its employees was raised to aid TLC in their vital mission.
Notably, a significant portion of these funds was generated through LMC's highly successful "Denim to Dollars" program, an ongoing campaign that has raised over $90,000 for various charitable programs in the local area since its inception in 2018.
Recognizing the significance of collaborative efforts, LMC also said that it sought support from its partner supplier network.
PPG, a key supplier to LMC, contributed essential painting supplies, aligning with their own global initiative, Colorful Communities, which emphasizes the importance of making a positive impact worldwide.
Additionally, a team of 40 dedicated LMC employees volunteered their time and expertise at TLC's adoption center over the span of two days.
“With unwavering dedication, this team tackled essential site maintenance tasks, including constructing shelves, assembling crates, tending to landscaping needs, and transforming the interior of the building with the high-quality paint donated by PPG,” LMC said.
Chelsea Mettinger-Swansen, a member of LMC Cares team, noted " LMC is so grateful for the opportunity to help support TLC and to PPG for their generous donation. Giving back to our community not only promotes our commitment to service, but it also provides a great team- building atmosphere. None of this is possible without our incredible staff.”
“We couldn't be more thankful for this group donating not only the funds for supplies but also the time and manpower to spruce up our space putting our best foot forward for all these special moments,” TLC said in a prepared statement.
Based in Wayne, Pennsylvania, LMC is one of the nation’s largest forest products and building materials buying groups.
The buying group is owned by independent lumber and building material dealers. There are over 1,800 LMC dealer locations in the United States and the Bahamas.
