Cindy Howley, director of Kohler Stewardship, the company’s worldwide corporate social responsibility program, received the Robert P. Atkins Lifetime Achievement Award during the recent Crystal Vision Awards Breakfast in Las Vegas.

The 43-year Kohler veteran’s “consistent and faithful support of the World Vision Storehouse program” was cited by the event organizers. During her career, Howley facilitated the investment of more than $80 million in Kohler communities in the U.S. and abroad, representing the company in collaborations with local leaders to develop partnerships and community-strengthening programs.

Crystal Vision is an arm of World Vision, a humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families and their communities around the world, tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.

The breakfast event, held annually in concert with KBIS, benefits the Storehouse of World Vision, a system of warehouses and community partners that bring corporate donations of excess building materials and home products to families and communities in need.

Howley led the formalization of Kohler Stewardship in 2010, unleashing the passion of Kohler associates too give back to communities around the world through volunteering and fundraising. She’s spent the past several years developing Kohler’s signature program: “Safe Water for All.” That program was inspired by her travels, which revealed to her the lack of safe water and sanitation and the disproportionate burden it was placing on women and girls.

The Crystal Vision Executive Committee stated: “Thank you, Cindy, for the tireless work and countless hours you put into providing vital resources and crucial support not only to World Vision’s Storehouse work, but also for those in need around the world. The impact of your efforts will be felt for generations.”
