LBM Advantage reveals top vendors
LBM Advantage has named its 2023 Vendors of the Year.
The member-owned lumber and building materials cooperative, which includes some of the industry’s premier, independent LBM retailers, selected vendors in four primary building categories. Categories include commodities, specialties, millwork, and kitchen and bath.
Vendors were evaluated on a variety of criteria, including sales growth, gross margin improvement, customer support, and product quality.
“Teamwork is a critical part of business relationships,” LBM Advantage Executive Vice President Tom Molloy said. “The 2023 Vendors of the Year winners selected have been strong collaborators in our mission to promote business growth for our independent lumber and building material cooperative members. We are extremely proud to share an alliance with each of these organizations and thrilled to share in the successes we’ve had in 2023.”

Commodities 2023 Vendor of the Year: CertainTeed Gypsum
Specialties 2023 Vendor of the Year: Simpson Strong-Tie
Millwork 2023 Vendor the Year: Woodgrain
Kitchen & Bath 2023 Vendor the Year: Cabinetworks Group
The winning companies will be presented with awards at the LBM Advantage Annual Buying Show & Shareholders Meeting taking place at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida from February 20-22.
The Annual Buying Show is LBM Advantage’s largest in-person event offering members and vendors opportunities to network in person and strategize purchases.
The theme of this year’s event is “Achieving Peak Performance”, and will feature keynote speaker Steve Smith, a former senior astronaut, accomplished diplomat, and Silicon Valley professional who inspires others to boldly tackle personal and professional goals, according to LBM Advantage.
LBM Advantage operates four locations, focused on regional service, in New Windsor, New York; Grand Rapids, Michigan; Smithfield, North Carolina; and Conroe, Texas.
