LBM Advantage gets busy in Texas

South by Southwest Summit marks two years in Conroe.

Two years ago, LBM Advantage opened its Conroe, Texas, office, a move credited with attracting new members that bolstered the collective strength of the buying group.

Just this month, the member-owned forest products and building materials cooperative welcomed members and vendors to Conroe, Texas, for its inaugural South by Southwest Summit from Sept. 11-13 at the Margaritaville resort.

“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our vendors for their steadfast commitment to our members, for listening to their needs, and for supporting their growth,” said Joe Burlison, Vice President of Southwest Operations at LBM Advantage. “To our members, we commend your continued dedication to sourcing through our cooperative, a commitment that drives our collective success.”

The summit served as a platform for members and vendors to engage in discussions about industry trends, new strategies, and innovations that will propel their businesses forward.

Major industry suppliers American Gypsum, Arbec Forest Products, CertainTeed, Doman Lumber, Huber, James Hardie, RoyOMartin, Simpson Strong-Tie, and Weyerhaeuser were sponsors of the event. Each had the opportunity to present to Advantage members on their company history, products, and future plans.

LBM Advantage operates out of four offices: New Windsor, New York; Grand Rapids, Michigan; Smithfield, North Carolina;, and Conroe, Texas.
