LAT names Dealer and Associate of the Year honorees
The Lumbermen’s Association of Texas (LAT) gas announced 2021 Dealer of Year and 2021 Associate of the Year awardees.
The dealer award is based on dedication to LAT and the industry, service to customers, participation in civic and community affairs, and developing camaraderie among LAT members.
Greg Evans, owner at Redwoods, Inc., has been selected by the LAT membership as its 2021 Dealer of the Year. Evans served as President of LAT’s Board of Directors from May 2020 – June 2021 and continues to engage as a Director and LUMPAC trustee.
“As an LAT member, my work always feels relevant and impactful,” said Evans. “It is an easy decision to invest time and energy to support our membership and I have loved every minute of our work together. To be recognized by my peers in this amazing industry of ours who I respect and admire is an honor.”
Redwoods, Inc. is a family-run and operated specialty lumber yard serving contractors and homeowners in Waco and Central Texas since 1965. Greg and Cynthia Evans are second-generation owners, having purchased the business from Greg’s father, one of the three founders, in 2005.
The associate award is based on level of service to LAT’s dealer members and dedication to and engagement with LAT for the betterment of the industry.
Chris Agness, vice president at Lumber Insurance Services has been selected by the LAT membership as its 2021 Associate of the Year.
Agness serves on LAT’s Board of Directors, is Associate Vice President of the Executive Committee and Co-Chairs LAT’s Membership Committee.
“The men and women of our industry have had a tremendous role in my professional and personal development,” said Agness. “It is an honor to serve an industry that has given so much to me and my family. To be recognized by you is a milestone moment for me and I am grateful.”
Founded in 2005, Lumber Insurance Services is a family-owned and operated by two generations of the Agness family. Based in Austin Texas, LIS specializes exclusively in commercial property and casualty insurance for the forest products and building material industries.
