The Lumbermen’s Association of Texas (LAT) announced that Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar will keynote its 136th Convention & Expo in Frisco, Texas.

Hegar will deliver his keynote at the Omni Frisco Hotel in Frisco, Texas on Sept. 13 during the convention’s evening program.

“Comptroller Hegar values our industry and its critical role in the Texas economy,” said Peyton Ritter, president of the LAT Board of Directors and president at Ritter Lumber Company in Nederland, Texas. “His steadfast leadership during the pandemic helped our members navigate historic demand for building products and disruptive supply chain bottlenecks.  We are excited to learn his thoughts on the future of the Texas economy and the role that our membership has in supporting the state’s continued success.”

“Let’s Grow Together” is the theme for the event and the program will also include a celebration of LAT’s leadership and a presentation of the 2021 LAT Dealer and Associate of the Year awards.

Hegar was elected as Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts in November 2014.

He is a sixth-generation Texan who grew up farming land that has been in his family since the mid-1800s.
